Oakland, CA — Oakland’s newest green business, House Kombucha, will celebrate its grand opening with a brewing tour and workshop as part of Yelp’s Bay Area Field Trip on March 9th.
“We’re proud to be joining Hodo Soy, Numi Tea, Revolution Foods, and the growing number of innovative food and beverage entrepreneurs here in Oakland,” said Rana Chang, founder and Operations Director of House Kombucha. “And we’re excited to be partnering with Yelp on this active showcase of some of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most respected local businesses.”
House Kombucha’s brewing tour and workshop will cover the ins-and-outs of kombucha brewing and introduce local enthusiasts to the company’s new brewery, located in the heart of Oakland’s waterfront industrial zone in the Coliseum district. “Everyone will have a chance to sample our fine, handcrafted brews, and will learn how they can start their own home brews from scratch,” said Aaron Lehmer, Community Relations Director of House Kombucha.
Started in San Francisco’s underground food scene in 2009, House Kombucha has recently relaunched in Oakland, where it brews a diverse range of raw, probiotic teas, including Ginger Pearl, Jasmine Green, Lavender Green, Rose Black, Sun Blossom, and Vanilla Orchid Root. The company is committed to sustainable business practices, using only refillable glass bottles and jugs to distribute its kombucha, which is available at natural food outlets around the Bay Area.
